बारामतीकर. तसे पाहिले तर आम्ही मूळचे बारामतीकर. अगदी अलीकडच्या काळापर्यंत पुणे जिल्ह्यात तीन लोकसभा मतदारसंघ होते. पुणे, बारामती आणि खेड. तर या बारामती लोकसभा मतदारसंघात आमच्या पिंपरी चिंचवड शहराचा अंतर्भाव होता. गोवा सोडून मी पुण्यात तात्पुरता स्थायिक झालो, डेक्कन जिमखाना येथे रानडे इन्स्टिट्युटसमोर लॉजमध्ये मंथली कॉट बेसिसवर चांगली तीनचार वर्षे राहिलो. लग्नानंतर मात्र सेटल व्हावे लागले. जॅकलिनची नोकरी चिंचवडला म्हणून तेथेच घर घेतले आणि अशाप्रकारे आम्ही निदान लोकसभा मतदार संघापुरते बारामतीकर बनलो. त्यावेळी खेड मतदारसंघात अशोक मोहोळ, विदुरा नवले, निवृत्ती शेरकर खासदार होते, नंतर किसनराव बाणखेले खासदार बनले, पुण्यातले खासदार मंडळी तर सर्वपरिचित आहेत. आमच्या बारामती मतदारसंघात मात्र खासदारांचे नेहेमीच एकच आडनाव असायचे. फक्त पहिले नाव बदलायचे. शरद पवार, अजित पवार, पुन्हा शरद पवार. त्यांच्या विरोधात नेहेमीच भारतीय जनता पक्षाचे उमेदवार असल्याने लोकसभा निवडणुकीत मतदान कुणाला करायचे याचा विचार करण्याची कधी गरजच भासली नाही. पण एकदा ती वेळ आली. त्याआधीची ही घटना सांगतो. उन्...

BRT on Dapodi-Nigdi route to be launched

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar said that the BRTS on this route will be launched for a period of two months as per the permission granted by the Bombay High Court.
