प्रिन्स चार्ल्स आणि डायना स्पेन्सर यांचे लग्न   गोव्यातील वृत्तपत्रात लंडनच्या शाही लग्नाचे फोटो मिळविण्यासाठी २९ जुलै १९८१ला आम्ही केलेला हा आटापिटा. प्रिन्स चार्ल्स आणि डायना स्पेन्सर यांचे लग्न ठरले, तेव्हाच ते विसाव्या शतकातील सर्वांत मोठे शाही, सेलेब्रिटी लग्न असेल असे म्हटले जात असे. ब्रिटिश राजघराणे , ब्रिटिश पर्यटन खाते आणि संपूर्ण जगभरातील प्रसारमाध्यमांतून या होणाऱ्या विवाहाविषयी प्रचंड गाजावाजा केला गेला. त्यात तसे वावगे असे काहीही नव्हते.    यापूर्वी म्हणजे तीन दशकांपूर्वी १९४७ला राणी एलिझाबेथ व्दितीय यांचा स्वतःचा विवाह झाला तेव्हा ग्रेट ब्रिटन हे जगातले एक प्रमुख राष्ट्र असले तरी प्रसारमाध्यमांचे क्षेत्र आताइतके जनसामान्यांपर्यंत पोहोचले नव्हते.    मात्र १९८०च्या सुरुवातीच्या काळात प्रिन्स चार्ल्स आणि डायना यांची एंगेजमेंज वा साखरपुडा झाला तेव्हा रेडिओ सामान्य माणसांपर्यंत पोहोचला होता, वृत्तपत्रे शहरांत आणि खेड्यापाड्यांत जाऊ लागली होती आणि ब्लँक अँड व्हाईट टेलिव्हिजनचे भारताच्या काही प्रमुख शहरांत आगमन झाले होते.    एके काळी ब्र...
