मुकुंद भुते. दैनिक `केसरी'त मधुकर प्रभुदेसाई आणि प्रमोद जोग यांच्या पत्रकारितेच्या तालमीत तयार झालेला छायाचित्रकार. मी पुण्यात आलो, गोव्यात गोवा युनियन ऑफ जर्नालिस्टचा जसा सक्रिय कार्यकर्ता होतो तसाच मग पुणे श्रमिक पत्रकार संघात सक्रिय झालो तेव्हा मुकुंद भुतेशी ओळख झाली. आणि तशीच ओळख कायम राहिली. पत्रकारितेत नव्या पिढीला आम्हा दोघांचं नातेसंबंध सांगताना मुकुंद हमखास नव्वदच्या दशकातील पत्रकार संघातील त्या घडामोडी आणि प्रभुदेसाई आणि प्रमोद जोग यांचं नाव घ्यायचा. काही काळानंतर टाइम्स ऑफ इंडियात मी रुजू झालो तेव्हा मुकुंद भुते माझा सहकारी होता, `टाइम्स' सोडून मी सकाळ वृत्तसमूहाच्या `महाराष्ट्र हेराल्ड'ला जॉईन झालो, तेव्हा तिथेही मुकुंद आला. महाराष्ट्र हेराल्डचे सकाळ टाइम्समध्ये रूपांतर झाले आणि कोविडकाळात या दैनिकाची शेवटची आवृत्ती निघाली तोपर्यंत म्हणजे तब्बल चौदा-पंधरा वर्षे मुकुंद आणि मी सहकारी होतो. ख्रिसमसच्या आठवड्यात दरवर्षी माझ्या घरी बातमीदार मंडळींसाठी होणाऱ्या सेलेब्रेशनला मुकुंद कधी गैरहजर नसायचा. पार्टीच्या उशिरापर्यंतच्या शेवटपर्यंत त्याची साथ असायची. कार्य...
